The house just wasn't suited for a small family. A cramped kitchen. Little closet space. Annoyingly narrow hallways. But we adore our neighborhood. And our neighbors. So we took a deep breath (and, after the first checks to our contractor, are now hyperventilating) and decided to embark on the great American tradition of remodeling. When will it be done? Who knows. But there undoubtedly will be some nifty photos and discoveries along the way.
